Oil Paintings Inspired by Water and Desert
Join us for a solo exhibition featuring oil painter Thomas deDecker. Meet the artist and explore his latest body of work, which reflects two distinct yet complementary inspirations.
DeDecker works in oil on canvas, drawing deeply from both art history and the landscape of the Southwest. One area of focus is inspired by Claude Monet’s iconic waterlily paintings, where light, reflection, and surface texture take center stage. These works evoke a sense of quiet immersion and painterly atmosphere.
In contrast, his second focus turns to the Arizona desert, capturing expansive skies, rugged terrain, and the subtle drama of light across saguaros and open land. Together, these two themes reveal DeDecker’s sensitivity to place, color, and mood—whether reflecting a tranquil pond or the vast desert horizon.
Visitors are invited to stop in and experience this thoughtful and visually rich solo show.
