“The Collector” — One of a Kind Sculpture by Deanne McKeown

A testament to curiosity and the poetry of found things, The Collector captures the inquisitive spirit of the raven in exquisite bronze. Perched on a live-edge wooden bowl, the bird clutches a pottery shard in its beak—an artifact from another story, another time. 

Within the vessel rests an eclectic gathering of treasures: selenite, a Zuni fetish stone carving, an old coin, a worry stone, and other tokens of mystery and meaning.

Deanne McKeown’s masterful sculpture invites viewers to consider the beauty of discovery and the value we place on the objects that speak to us. Each element—metal, wood, and mineral—contributes to a narrative both ancient and deeply human.
