Esperanza Dance Project - Live Performance 2PM - 4PM
Join us for a live dance performance in our sculpture garden on Saturday, April 12th from 2PM - 4PM.
EDP presents an annual Emerging Choreographers Showcase to platform their dancers every spring. This year's showcase will include pieces choreographed in response to sculptures in the sculpture garden as well as a performance by Southwest Troubadour Ted Ramirez."
Esperanza Dance Project is a community-based collaboration that uses dance performances to educate about the issue of childhood sexual trauma and deliver a message of hope, strength and empowerment.
Dance is emotion in motion. It elicits strong, visceral reactions that help students process hard emotions. EDP uses the transformative power of art to create safe spaces that help youth feel that they are no longer alone. Spreading awareness, educating, supporting survivors, and inspiring meaningful conversation surrounding sexual trauma is the foundation of EDP.Dance is emotion in motion.
