Pendant: Inspired by Sonoran Desert flora. Hand forged sterling silver and 24kt gold. Hung on adjustable 18” leather cord with hand forged sterling silver clasp.

The 24kt gold is applied to the silver using an ancient Korean technique called keum boo. Heat and pressure is used to attach thin sheets of 24 kt gold to the silver to create a diffusion bond; the gold is permanently affixed.

Forging: The metal softened by heating. Forms are created through the use of hammers and and various metal and wooden daps to create shapes. The metal hardens through the forging process.
