Liza Vaughn is a contemporary resin artist. Her inspiration is driven from the beauty of fluidity, the natural awe and power of the ocean, and geode formations. Texture is of equal importance in many of her pieces. The three-dimensional aspects of resin allow for multi-layer effects and complexity unrivaled among other forms of media. Semi-precious stones, real quartz crystal and sand is often blended into the pieces creating an intense connection with nature while invoking emotions of tranquility and peace. Many of her pieces are intended to induce a calming effect while also eliciting curiosity and thought. Other abstract pieces strikingly pair metallic blacks, bronze, copper, gold and silver. Shades across a lighter spectrum of color also appear in other variations of abstract.

Each piece that Liza creates seeks to exude an emotional sense to the viewer. Carefully planned out, extensive thought and sketches are prepared to properly translate her visions to a given piece. Each color and texture used is individually created with a wide range of media. Various inks, mica powders, flakes and pigments, among many others, are combined in a unique way to produce the ideal effects required for each piece. Through extensive experience, the right combinations and formulas are created. The same attention is given to each original piece to produce the unique and individual results that can only be attributed to Liza's artwork.

Liza was featured in Centsational Style’s spotlight article on Resin Artists in August of 2018, which highlighted her success as a respected artist within the Resin Art Community. Her work has garnered the attention of many within the Resin Art Community as someone with a unique talent, able to elegantly manipulate the difficult medium of resin into inspirational works of art. Liza also fosters a sense of community among other artists in many ways. Liza is the founder of the Facebook page Resin Artists USA, a place where resin artists can share their work and knowledge. She was also selected as one of the few Brand Ambassadors for Counterculture products. Liza's distinct style, high standards and professionalism were the right fit when it came to Counterculture making its selection.

Life beyond art for Liza involves a strong connection with family. She has a husband and three children ranging in age from nine to fifteen that mean the world to her. When not working on one of her pieces, she spends quality time with her family doing things together, laughing, learning and enjoying life.

Liza’s happiness is defined by creating inspiring pieces that project her vision of tranquility, beauty and strength to others. The joy of sharing this vision through her art while also fulfilling her other roles in life as a wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend is the true meaning of success.
