Day of the Dead Party - Free Event

Tubac’s 6th Annual Traditional Day of the Dead Celebration, Sunday, October 27, Party at the K Newby Sculpture Garden 4:30pm- 8pm
Join us for a beer garden, food trucks, bonfire and live music!   The Tubac celebration of Día de los Muertos is an event exuberantly honoring our ancestors and community.  In the afternoon a procession will leave from the Tubac Presidio and march through the streets to the Tubac 'Cementery' and end at a symbolic bonfire in the Sculpture Garden at the K. Newby Gallery. Participants are encouraged to come in costume, have their faces painted and bring mementos of loved ones to memorialize in the parade and at the bonfire. At 5PM the fantastic Tejano band Suerte will perform from 5PM - 7PM.  A beer garden will be available from 4PM - 8PM as a fundraiser for the AnzaTrail Coalition, food trucks, bonfire and live music.     Details of the Village Wide Offerings: Everyone is welcome to create an ofrenda or altar and these will be displayed throughout the community.  From Noon until 4 pm, at the Tubac Presidio State Historic Parkwe’ll have face painting, live music, Día de Los Muertos presentations, food vendors with a wonderful variety of offerings, performances from the Montessori School, ballet folklorico dancers, Angel Perez, international visual artist Gabriela Galup and the Nogales Marching Band and Mariachi Band, ofrenda exhibits and crafts for the children.
