Jo Ann Marcus, a Tucson jewelry designer, daughter of a an extremely skillful and talented craftswoman, has always been an observer. It is this artistic vision that translates into jewelry as a form of wearable art. Seeing beauty in nature as well as the ordinary. It is the joy of embellishment, of adornment; a lifelong learning of enhancement using color, design, scale, layers and balance.

“My mother’s hands, in latter years twisted and gnarled, never ceased to amaze me with the imaginative artistry and fine workmanship that sprang from her fingers. Her needlework was legendary, learned from her own mother, her hands were always busy. And so I grew up, knowing creativity and ornamentation to be as important as eating and sleeping.....................maybe not eating.
