Adriana Walker was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina and moved to Southern California at an early age. Raised in a family that encouraged her to value the arts, she soon developed interests in batik, silver soldering and water color painting.
After the completion of her degree in Wild Animal Training and Management at Moorpark College, she moved to Northern California where she became an accomplished water color artist and dressage Instructor. However, after attending workshops in fused glass her interests switched to working primarily in this medium. Adriana's skills were such, that she was asked to join the arts department as an instructor at Lassen Community College where she taught fused glass, water color painting and equestrian classes for many years.
Her experiences integrated well with her new interest in combining semi-precious gems, pearls and vintage finds with fused glass and silverwork to create unique jewelry. "Fused Glass and Gem Creations by Adrianna," is the label she has been using for the last few years. Adriana's unique style of jewelry has found acceptance in several fine art galleries around the country including the states of Washington, California, New Mexico, Texas, Arizona and Mississippi. Her art is also exhibited in the Galeria Bellas Artes in San Carlos, Sonora Mexico.
Adriana lives in Tucson with her husband Jerry who works as her business manager, and her mother, Emma who helps her with the art work. Adriana still manages to find the time to ride her Dutch Warmblood "Welkin" and is currently one score away from receiving a National Silver Medal in Dressage.
